The Infection by Vadruax will always be a classic. Way ahead of its time.

Here is a good SP map as well: https://www.plazmaburst2.com/?s=9&a=&m=girl_power-girl_power

These are the classics, maybe even paved way for the story maps that we see today. Sadly, they have been forgotten.

Blood Hound still looks pretty good, even though it apparently came out in 2015.

Yeah. I'm sure the older maps were really good for their time, but the future is now. By today's standards, some of the older maps do look quite ugly.

Yeah, you can blame the old map maker for that. It was super clunky and there wasn't any comprehensive guides for it, at least not back when I started messing with it.

I'm not blaming anybody. Like I said, I'm sure the maps were great for their time, but now that the editor is better with more features, standards have changed. Besides, I'm just talking about the aesthetics. You can't deny that today's 1.32 era maps look way better than maps from the old days. I'm willing to believe that other factors, such as the level design and plot, hold up pretty well today.

Civil Liberation, by ChaoSquid.
https://www.plazmaburst2.com/?s=9&a=&m= ... &id=849736

While unfinished and only being 3 brief levels (1 of them being an easter egg), it makes up for it with its surrealism, wit & open-ended options, which made it the most memorable map for me.

I've done a thorough play through of every map listed, and I have to say in the end, https://www.plazmaburst2.com/index.php? ... &id=844381
goat-man-finding-hitler has to take the cake.
This SP series, truly the Bees knees, is a map where you storm Normandy beach in 1944 as an alien cyborg, equipped with many hightech weapons. After tearing through a bunker and several other obstacles, only you can find out what awaits.
I truly think this may be the best map in PB2 history, and I would highly recommend it to everyone.
