20-30 years before the Plazma Burst games
Spoiler: Show More
Sometime during Proxy's life, Correction Nine opens up a portal to "another world", which ends up being the Usurpation home planet. As Proxy is 20-30 years old roughly, this puts a rough date on when the portal was created. Some questions come up: Since the Usurpers are just now invading Earth, why did they not invade 20-30 years ago when the portal was opened? Was there some sort of "cold war" scenario where Earth and the Usurpation homeworld had a stand off? That would give some level of credibility towards the Civil Security being this massive, militarized force that functions as "Earth's Army" for the most part. It however, does not justify the "there are no CS military police" lore currently in place.
Correction Nine at an unknown date, but quite likely only a short period of time after the portal mishap, attempt to send two volunteers into the past to most likely prevent the portal from being opened at all costs. This fails and instead of being sent into the past, they are instead most likely around 20 years into the future. Communication with them is lost.
Sometime after this, Correction Nine shuts down, its weapons sold to various factions and its technology repurposed.

The Marine and Noir Lime end up on Mars (at least, incredibly likely. Somehow this hasn't been 100% confirmed yet). Somehow unaware that they were not successful in being sent to the past, and so they go about trying to get to Earth.
Marine and Noir Lime are fired upon by the Human Soldiers. These are a band of humans wielding both C9 tech and mass-produced "Grub" combat cyborgs, who are grown on Mars and are alien in origin. Their relations with the Falkoks are unknown. It is known these humans are not on good terms with Earth, as they are restricted from returning to Earth (to some degree), at least by some government or another (likely Civil Security).
The events of PB1 unfold. The Marine and Noir Lime gun down everything in their path, likely hurting relations between humanity and the Falkoks in the process. Eventually, they encounter "Sword Bot", and Noir gets injured in the fight. After Sword Bot is defeated, Noir stays behind, allowing the Marine to attempt to get to Earth via a one-seater Falkok fighter.

Noir Lime finds the Minigun C-02m somehow.
By now, and likely much earlier, the two realize what went wrong. We can assume that at least one if not both of the pair attempt to contact Correction Nine if possible and find out that Correction Nine no longer exists, its weaponry sold to the Falkoks, Civil Security, Human Soldiers, and likely other groups as well.
The invasion of Earth seemingly either occurs now or happens soon after. Whether this is the first attack on Earth or one of many is unknown. Status of groups not on Earth, as well as the Falkoks, is unknown.
Noir Lime gets to another Falkok ship and gets off-world. At least one Falkok fighter trails him.

Beginning of PB2
Spoiler: Show More
Roughly one month after the events of PB1, the Marine finally gets to Earth, where while on route to the Time Machine, someone shoots down his Falkok fighter (likely CS) and he has to eject from a Life Capsule (that is way too big for the Falkok fighter).
Landing in Civil Security territory, he is identified as a hostile and fired upon, despite the current alien invasion. In the next couple of hours, if not days, the Marine encounters a mysterious third party in the form of hostile Androids. He also eventually single-handedly wipes out a battalion of Civil Security troops alongside invading Usurpation Forces.
At some point during the Marine's trek, the Civil Security attempt to use some form of technology (either cloning, actual C9 technology, or other methods) to trick the Marine. They use one of their own men inside a Correction Nine suit who at first aids the Marine, before turning on him. The plan fails and is a massive waste of human life.
At an unknown point in time, at least three Usurpation destroyers manage to get inside the Time Machine facility. Whether they do anything is unknown, but they do appear to hack the Corvettes, a feat not unknown as Civil Security Drones are also seen having been hacked to attack CS troops and not Usurpations throughout the campaign.

Late/End of PB2
Spoiler: Show More
Proxy, an unknown criminal, breaks free from her prison and escapes amid the chaos of the Usurpation invasion, fighting both Civil Security and Usurpations.
Noir Lime enters Earth's atmosphere and heads for the Time Machine. He and the Falkok fighter/s tailing him are shot down. Despite being shown as a one-seater craft, the falkok fighter that was tailing Noir Lime somehow carried 3 Falkoks. He is revived by the Marine.
The trio fight a heavily armed Civil Security squad, who appears to be readying an assault on the Corvettes and Destroyers inside. They wield Drone Guns and other anti-vehicle weapons which backs up this theory.
The trio fight the final defenses of the Time Machine, namely the seemingly compromised Corvettes and three Usurpation Destroyers. The Usurpations having found the Time Machine is huge, but it is plausible they either did not know what they found or simply were not there long enough to do anything.
End of PB2
The Marine, Noir Lime, and now Proxy are sent into the past, at last, to finish what Correction Nine started.
