Seriously people like him shouldn't be allowed to go over the internet.

If you download and run a file from a random guy on the internet, it's totally your fault if you get your PC infected and your accounts breached.

It should be common knowledge to not do something so downright stupid.

Really that's what you said Doomb? XD
Are you on period Doomb?
Ok let me explain this...
He is not a stranger. I talked to him in Discord pretty often. He was good
The file he sent me I thought it was a subtitle for a movie (he recommended) I wanted to watch.
I have no idea why he did it

The point of this topic is to warn people in case they don't know. What's wrong with it?
Don't reply it now. Reply it when your period ends okay? I don't want any trouble

Stranger he said XD
Stupid he said XD

As I said he is not a stranger to me. I talked to him pretty often. I trusted him actually
He recommended me a movie. Then I download it (sorry I pirated it). Then he sent me the subtitle (Rar extension).
Maybe he was trolling me. But the viruses are real.

That's not how you get rid of viruses and malware as such.
First of all you need to format all of your HDDs and SSDs before you should even think about reinstalling your OS.

Postby Incompetence » 28 July 2016, 09:25

the main issue here is that you trusted the wrong person and now you got a remote access trojan from your own mistake lmao. but srsly, this guy sounds like a one trick type of guy. my suggestion is to avoid downloading anything from anybody, even those you trust, just in case

dont worry tho fam, i got you when it comes to helping you get rid of em but this method wont work 100% nor do i guarantee it. trojans do major damage anyways

but first you need to know if its a rat fr or not, cause ppl be lying online just to intimidate other ppl lad. if your pc's slowing down, unexpected bs is happening, or files are gone or hidden, you probs have a rat lurking around

Spoiler: Show More
1.) i suggest you run msconfig and look for anything you might find suspicious. files and everything of that sort. if its a download, theres a folder or location you can trace it back to. if you can and if you found what you needed, uncheck it from start up/services

side note: after this, you need to re-boot the system. boot it in safe mode tho which you can do by checking in the boot tab in msconfig

2.) now run msconfig in safe mode. it (virus ofc) may or may not be checked again but if it is, thats your red flag for the virus/keylogger/rat being persistent af. it wont run cause safe mode yolo squad

3.) if you can and know how, head on over to your registry. probs wondering why in safe mode; thats cause sometimes the virus can disable the registry and the virus doesnt run in safe mode anyways. make sure you made it so hidden files and folders can be seen

4.) next you have to find it yourself. heres some places in your computer you can look in

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnceEx
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServicesOnce
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\Run
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Runonce
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServicesOnce

*hkey_local_machine = your computer name, current_user = the user name you are currently logged in as, software is the basic file path and location of the data for a specific software and the rest is self explanatory

side note: if you're not sure if a file's malicious or not, right click and hit modify and put a colon in front of the value data so it wont run anymore. it'll still chill in your pc so dont get too happy

last but not least, if you're positive you found it, delete it from the registry then scan your entire pc just to make sure

but if you're really skeptical, then reinstall windows after you backup your hdds and storage space

theres other ways but i personally know this one more and i've helped a few ppl out this way

Supertramp, what antivirus you got? I REALLY REALLY REALLY suggest 360 Total Security, it's a beast, saved me from 30+ viruses.

And scan for anything with the 360. It can block keyloggers, viruses and all kinds of malware and spyware.

I don't wanna link it, cuz this

''sharing links to other websites that may harm someones computer is prohibited''

but really, it doesn't download anything but k.

Ayy, Alex.

If you wish to rescue that pron, transfer it to your phone, and re-install the OS, and then install pron again. You happy?

Really tramp?
I don't even click links from my closest friends across the internet.

And if you really "trust" him, you should choose and pick your friends wisely.

He gave me a file and when I opened it I got about 15 virus-notifications form my antivirus
And after that, somehow he got my email and password for PB2
He is also the guy who DDoSed PB2 few months ago

I have changed my password before he did anything to my account
I post it here to prevent the same thing happens to other players. Because he said he is going to do other PB players as well
Don't talk to him if you see him in Discord if you don't know him XD
