A cool character I made

Postby legofighter » 15 April 2016, 19:54

So I made this cool PB2 character and I'd like to know what you guys think of it.
With swords:

Without swords:

This is the first time I've attempted to make a character properly, so if it needs a little improvement it doesn't hurt to let me know. :)
EDIT: Character is finished, so I've updated this to show it.

EDIT 2: One of the admins noticed and posted this on the official twitter! This is awesome! https://twitter.com/PlazmaBurstTeam/sta ... 9972883462

That's an odd shape for a helmet. Other than that it's fine.

Nah this actually looks pretty cool, did you take inspiration from japanese straw hats when shaping the helmet? That's what it reminds me of, then I start thinking of samurai xD

... One criticism I would have are the legs, idk why but they just look a bit too fat around the bottom. Maybe I'm just being weird and it's nothing.

It wasn't straw hats, though I see where you're coming from.
I got the inspiration from when I was in maths class and I had these pieces of triangles and I put them together in a certain way and for some reason thought "hey that looks like a cool helmet" and drew it on my hand, took a picture of it while nobody could see me and decided to make a thing out of it at home.

TL;DR I got it from a class I'm in.

Would it be wrong if I said it looked a little like an Asian with a straw hat on his head? Because that's what it looks like to me.

Cool character. My only concern is the sword size (which imo should be trimmed down to make it look less large) and the range/length of the visor glow, but that's negligible.

There was an Episode of Kids Next Door where they were eating Nachos with liquid Cheese. This armor reminds me of that for some reason.

It also looks as an awesome makeshift armor.

Mm doritos :D, but wait could that mean this design is... ILLUMINATI CONFIRMED?!! >>> http://prntscr.com/at52rc

In other words I kinda like the design, though it does look like its wearing a straw hat lol.

Well done. Looks great :)

In my opinion, I would add more glow to the swords.

Nice character. I like it. I could see myself using that character in game. Nice design.

You can use various programs to make arts like this, this includes
MS Paint (Comes with Windows)
Paint.NET
GIMP

I suggest Paint.NET since you're obviously new, GIMP is more advanced and may require more experience.
Also, don't get angry if your art doesn't look good at first, everyone starts everywhere. With more practice, you'll eventually become an artist.

I actually made this in Paint.NET so that's a good place to start.

Oddly enough this was the first time I made something like this and it turned out alright.
