Story: In the world Aeria, people gained the power to use magics and using it they developed a strong civilisation that could withstand the test of time. They use their powers for the benefits of the whole nation like using it in industry, agriculture, security, health,commerce and many more but other people use it for crime and harassment because not all people were gifted with magic so with the help of science they created a gauntlet that allows non magic users also called as “Normals” gain magic power. The gauntlet was named Synthesia it allows users to use magics even if they are “Normal”. This divided people into 3 groups, the magics users called “Natural”, the “Normals” and the people who tries to create peace between the two groups named Protectorate. Many years have passed and war broke out between the 2 group and the nation once rich fallen in the state of anarchy since the government can’t control nor lead his people into better ways. After 2 years of fighting the nation is now again stabilising and the civil war have ended with the help of Protectorate. Most people are now accepting each other but others still lurks in the darkness waiting to strike. The year is 2077 and the nation is now rebuilding itself. Would you help the nation thrive or you will be the one who will cause all trouble
Game Mechanics
Players in the game will design their characters on their own needs with starting limitations. They can choose if they are Natural or Normal depending on their liking. The game uses RNG to determine the outcome of your actions. Each character are given 2 major actions and 5 minor actions (You can add more in your stats). Major actions are actions that impacts the game heavily like attacking, using abilities and magics and many more while Minor actions are buying, talking, negotiating, and many more that doesn’t feature attacking, defending or any combat actions.
Like the story said natural uses magic while normals uses Synthesia to use magic but what are the advantage of normals and natural. Synthesia are more adaptive while naturals can become powerful additionally gives a big weakpoint and its the gauntlet itself which explodes if damaged much while Natural magic needs to be chanted making much more predictable than Synthesia plus can be disabled by silencing them. Abilities are natural that makes every people unique physically, mentally and emotionally. Passive abilities are t2t (turn to turn) active while Active abilities needs to be used. Unlike magics, abilities doesn’t give disadvantages except if the ability is a double edged sword.
Stats are split into 2, character stats and item stats. Character stats are what your character normally use. It is split into 5, Strength, Intelligence, Endurance, Perception, and Agility. Strength defines how strong your melee attack hits and your carrying capacity, Intelligence defines your metal thinking making your magics much more powerful and smarter in battlefield, Endurance is how strong your body could resist pain, Perception defines how aware you are lowering the chance of undodgeable attacks and makes your attacks much more accurate and precise, and lastly Agility defines how often can you dodge and attack and who will be the first to attack. Careful though dodging decreases your dodge rate overtime as long as you get attacked continuously.
Item stats defines what does your item do. Items are divided into three equipment, consumables and miscellaneous/junk or whatever you want to call it. Unlike character stats you can give your equipment passive ability if you don’t like stats. Equipment are items that can be equipped duh. It is also divided into two weapons and armor. Armor gives you protection. The heavier the armor the more weight it needs to be carried and noisy at the same time but gives more protection. The stats for armor is protection. The maximum protection is 20 and every 1 point in protection decrease your agility by 0.5 .Weapons are split into 2 ranged and melee. Ranged needs ammo while melee doesn’t unless your melee weapon uses ammo. It uses 2 stats, damage and penetration. Consumables can be used to boost stats temporarily, heal you, teleport you an many more. Its helpful in every way and characters are advised to carry consumables. Miscellaneous items are either quest items, keys or junk items.
Faction
Faction gives you support while aligning yourself to the ideals of a certain faction. You can create your own but it needs so much support that you won’t handle it normally. There are many faction to allign yourself in and if it doesn’t fit you there are more factions later on
The Government: The one who controls the whole nation itself. Slowly funding to rebuild the ruins of the lost. They believe that the nation will once again shine on its old glory.
Protectorate: The haven of Normals and Naturals. They brought back peace in the nation by giving peace treaty. Most people are volunteers but they made a vow to protect their countrymen and civilians in every second they needed. Side by side the government and protectorate helps each other.
Kenarian Company: The old company that funds the construction of Synthesia. They are anti-natural and won’t work with naturals even if they needed it. Them with the other Normals sill do anything to harm the natural.
Kentisian Combine: People that hates the construction of Synthesia because it dishonour the gift that is given to people and said that the creators of Synthesia are playing god. They would do anything to destroy the Synthesia Technology.
Bandits: Because of the war most people lost their jobs and having no ways to live they went to a worse way to live and by raiding people. Their leader depends on who is the strongest. Commonly they are disorganized group of people.
Brotherhood of Atlas: Believing that Martial Law is the answer to bring the nation in order, they will do anything to attack the government and take over the control.
Neo Government: Believing that the current government is bad and needs change. They will do anything to attack the government and take over
Independent: No affiliation and you can ally yourself to a faction later on.
