Roll to Dodge: Synthesia

Story: In the world Aeria, people gained the power to use magics and using it they developed a strong civilisation that could withstand the test of time. They use their powers for the benefits of the whole nation like using it in industry, agriculture, security, health,commerce and many more but other people use it for crime and harassment because not all people were gifted with magic so with the help of science they created a gauntlet that allows non magic users also called as “Normals” gain magic power. The gauntlet was named Synthesia it allows users to use magics even if they are “Normal”. This divided people into 3 groups, the magics users called “Natural”, the “Normals” and the people who tries to create peace between the two groups named Protectorate. Many years have passed and war broke out between the 2 group and the nation once rich fallen in the state of anarchy since the government can’t control nor lead his people into better ways. After 2 years of fighting the nation is now again stabilising and the civil war have ended with the help of Protectorate. Most people are now accepting each other but others still lurks in the darkness waiting to strike. The year is 2077 and the nation is now rebuilding itself. Would you help the nation thrive or you will be the one who will cause all trouble

Game Mechanics
Players in the game will design their characters on their own needs with starting limitations. They can choose if they are Natural or Normal depending on their liking. The game uses RNG to determine the outcome of your actions. Each character are given 2 major actions and 5 minor actions (You can add more in your stats). Major actions are actions that impacts the game heavily like attacking, using abilities and magics and many more while Minor actions are buying, talking, negotiating, and many more that doesn’t feature attacking, defending or any combat actions.

Like the story said natural uses magic while normals uses Synthesia to use magic but what are the advantage of normals and natural. Synthesia are more adaptive while naturals can become powerful additionally gives a big weakpoint and its the gauntlet itself which explodes if damaged much while Natural magic needs to be chanted making much more predictable than Synthesia plus can be disabled by silencing them. Abilities are natural that makes every people unique physically, mentally and emotionally. Passive abilities are t2t (turn to turn) active while Active abilities needs to be used. Unlike magics, abilities doesn’t give disadvantages except if the ability is a double edged sword.

Stats are split into 2, character stats and item stats. Character stats are what your character normally use. It is split into 5, Strength, Intelligence, Endurance, Perception, and Agility. Strength defines how strong your melee attack hits and your carrying capacity, Intelligence defines your metal thinking making your magics much more powerful and smarter in battlefield, Endurance is how strong your body could resist pain, Perception defines how aware you are lowering the chance of undodgeable attacks and makes your attacks much more accurate and precise, and lastly Agility defines how often can you dodge and attack and who will be the first to attack. Careful though dodging decreases your dodge rate overtime as long as you get attacked continuously.

Item stats defines what does your item do. Items are divided into three equipment, consumables and miscellaneous/junk or whatever you want to call it. Unlike character stats you can give your equipment passive ability if you don’t like stats. Equipment are items that can be equipped duh. It is also divided into two weapons and armor. Armor gives you protection. The heavier the armor the more weight it needs to be carried and noisy at the same time but gives more protection. The stats for armor is protection. The maximum protection is 20 and every 1 point in protection decrease your agility by 0.5 .Weapons are split into 2 ranged and melee. Ranged needs ammo while melee doesn’t unless your melee weapon uses ammo. It uses 2 stats, damage and penetration. Consumables can be used to boost stats temporarily, heal you, teleport you an many more. Its helpful in every way and characters are advised to carry consumables. Miscellaneous items are either quest items, keys or junk items.

Faction
Faction gives you support while aligning yourself to the ideals of a certain faction. You can create your own but it needs so much support that you won’t handle it normally. There are many faction to allign yourself in and if it doesn’t fit you there are more factions later on

The Government: The one who controls the whole nation itself. Slowly funding to rebuild the ruins of the lost. They believe that the nation will once again shine on its old glory.

Protectorate: The haven of Normals and Naturals. They brought back peace in the nation by giving peace treaty. Most people are volunteers but they made a vow to protect their countrymen and civilians in every second they needed. Side by side the government and protectorate helps each other.

Kenarian Company: The old company that funds the construction of Synthesia. They are anti-natural and won’t work with naturals even if they needed it. Them with the other Normals sill do anything to harm the natural.

Kentisian Combine: People that hates the construction of Synthesia because it dishonour the gift that is given to people and said that the creators of Synthesia are playing god. They would do anything to destroy the Synthesia Technology.

Bandits: Because of the war most people lost their jobs and having no ways to live they went to a worse way to live and by raiding people. Their leader depends on who is the strongest. Commonly they are disorganized group of people.

Brotherhood of Atlas: Believing that Martial Law is the answer to bring the nation in order, they will do anything to attack the government and take over the control.

Neo Government: Believing that the current government is bad and needs change. They will do anything to attack the government and take over

Independent: No affiliation and you can ally yourself to a faction later on.

Armando is short (175 cm) but tough-build Hispanic-looking male, in real life possibly being Puerto Rican. He has brown, quite short hair and blue eyes. He is loyal and never betrays his friends, but is also aware that his friends can betray him.

For every players there I forgot to add darkness but you can use it so im giving you guys a chance to change your element to darkness if you want to.

Additionally I forgot to say active abilities needs cooldown so im giving puting some cooldowns on your abilities. Also I added some weapons and Type weapons (Normals are given Synthesia Gauntlet and Naturals are given with Grimmoire) if you want you can equip it.

I still remember the bustling merchant city of Highway found in the River Ran. To be honest this is the only bridge that is strong enough and protected by the public for the people to pass through. There are other bridges but when it was infested by monsters the only way to cross the raging river ran is to go to Highway City. Highway connects the Kingstown and this nations capital named Silver City.

The only problem in this town is first the city is separated by the river since the Normals and Naturals made an agreement to the halflings (known as half elves or half human) that they will cease fighting on their ancestral land (Highway city is found on the ancestral land of Halflings) and the halflings will let them stay on this city, the city was actually founded by the halflings and let the normals and naturals to feel home in Highway City but ever since the war, Normals or Naturals are forbidden to go through without a passport.

So here is your mission Lillie we have smuggled some weapons in Shoreline of Autry so before you go ill give you this

-You are given the Passport to pass through the blockade in Highway.

Don’t lose it or you’ll be forced to go through those old abandoned bridge but its your choice as long as we meet our smuggler also for every Neogovernment members you are given additional standard Neogovernment weaponries. Now you’re dismissed.

You know there is an underground marketplace well it is called the Black Market and at the same time there is an adventurers guild here.. its you choice if you will go the brighter side of Adventurers guild or go to the black market.

Also I just checked your Battle Simulation results and it was fascinating. If so we won’t give you a 1 Month Battle Academy and you’ll all go to the field and do everything we can. So here’s the guideline. First do not harm any civilians, second you must respond to every flare fire, third if your squadrons strength is enough maybe takeout a Bandit Encampment and Fourth always obey your higher ups well except if you think its wrong. Now you’re dismissed. Oh I forgot you will get flare guns and Radio so that we can signal each other for helps”.

Atleast 10 squadron clapped and went outside. Your squadron is called the Junkyard Dogs well it was invented by none other than your Squad Member Ace and you’re their leader. Your squad is composed of 5 members, Ace, Dragunov, Jhunalyn, Ark and you Talisman.

Jhunalyn looks at you and said “where are we going squad leader?”

Well you have 3 choices the nearest is Silver City since afterall we’re in Fort Knox the main headquarters of the Protectorate. The second choice is the City of Highway then you go through the Path of Champions towards the Village of Maroon. You heard there are troubles within the vincinity of the village. Lastly east of Fort Knox is known as the Giant’s Shadow, these are the areas that is not protected by the Protectorate nor the government since your faction still lacks manpower. You can go in Rocky Mountain or Sanctuary Hills there. It will be helpful to aid people there.

Before I start, I'd like to ask why did my character lose 1 from all of his stats? If possible, I'd like to reset 1 (freely chosen) of these. That's all from the questions from me.

Anyways, here's the action:

Armando decides to go to the brighter side and starts walking to Adventurers' guild. "I've seen enough bad, time to leave it behind and try the bright side."

Hello bro
As you can see the I gave you 10 free stat for distribution and the base stat is 5
Str:9-5=4
Per:7-5=2
End:7-5=2
Int:10-5=5
Agi:7.5-5= 2,5
So there is a remainder of 5.5 but since there are 5 stats I divided your stat by 5 and there is a remainder of .5
But the current Rng i use doesn’t register decimal number so I use flat numbers of 1,2,3,4,and 5
Rounding your sta up will make the remainder 1 so to remove that remainder I round it down and there is no remainder. So i’m giving you a chance to change your stats

Neoxdeath agility has been rounded up

Question: Eh but why you didn’t round down or up weaponries decimals?
Answer: Didn’t see it so all weapons should be rounded up or down to a flat number :) please

(Out of Character: I noticed that I forgot to include Freelancer's attacking stats as attacking bonuses to Charge!. Oops. If you can correct this, feel free to elongate the cooldown's duration or the penalties upon missing the attack.)

"I do.", Arias responds to the representative, raising her hand in the process in order to attract his attention, shortly lowering it after that.

"I will gladly serve to fight against the Brotherhood of Arms. It's the most I can do for this village.", she then adds as an expression of pride spreads across her face, showing her boastful and confident personality. After that, she places her trusty rocket-powered lance's exhaust on the ground, retaining a firm hold on the synthetic and comfortable grip located precisely in the weapon's center of gravity in the process.

Lillie smiles and waves energetically at the group of 3 people who don't seem to be important enough for individual descriptions. Personally, she thought they would make great grunts for her fanclub later on.

“Of course, strength is the representative of Arian Village and you always have one here.” Dropping his massive blade in the ground you know him as Gilgamesh. Tall muscular guy with a blonde hair. He is really strong but when we talk about his intelligence well he is dumb as a rock. He’s reckless but he gave honor and glory to Arian Village when he won many olympic titles so people respects him.

“As long as you pay us we’ll help” and that guy is known as Dirk. He came from a poor family and his job is a hunter. You know one thing and its his daughter suffering from an illness but he doesn’t have any money to pay for health services. He looks dirty wearing a shirt and a his black jacket with his signature Hunting Rifle.

“Its not the detective work to kill but if they’ll harm us then we’ll fight back” many people cheered at him and you know him. Village well known detective named Colin. Tall, slender body wearing a trench coat and a pistol hiding in his pocket, you’ve seen many detective movies that you will never miss those usual clothes that detectives wear.

“It will be a great honor for my village” you heard her sweet alluring voice and recognize the female as Collete. She’s a majestic fighter and a little hot in face she equipped herself with a breast armor and armored skirts exposing some of her skin. Most of the males cheered for her and she sent the cheering male a wink that made the cheer louder than ever

The Protectorate Representative raised his hand sending a signal for the people to be silent. “6 proud warriors standing in front of us. Of course we’ll pay you big time plus anything that you loot from the bandits will be yours except if its something that the bandits stole from your village, we’ll train some of you civilians how to defend yourselves and you 6 warriors. I have something to ask you do you see that robot over there.” he points toward the robot in the warehouse. Its the old Guardian Robot unpowered and left to dust. “For you to be safe from the bandits we will power the Guardian Robot once again and weaken the bandits once and for all. People of Arian Village my name is Joseph Gilbar, representative of the Protectron thank you for listening.” Everyone claps and left. Some Protectorate volunteers approached the citizen to ask if they want to participate as a militia for the town. A Protectorate Volunteer approached you and said. “Please come with me”.

You followed and reached the city hall where the Protectorate Representative currently stay. The front was designed with 2 Greek Pillars to represent Intelligence and when I went inside, the sight was spectacular. The floor is made out of amber and the paintings are made by world class artists. At the end of the hallway lies the Mayor's Table and the protectorate representative is standing near the mayor and the other 5 person who raised their hand is also here.

'Looks like it. Let's go take a look.' I say. I have my team advance towards the flare. As we get close, I order Draganov and Ark into an area where they can cover the rest of us as we cautiously advance on the area where the signal went off. If any trouble pops up, I direct my team to duck into the nearest position of cover, and I do the same.

"I can do that. It'd be very helpful to have an airship patrol the area, especially because it can be used to deter ground invasions. Assuming it's armed, of course." the mercenary then adds, sounding confident. She grips her rocket-powered lance, with no intend to show any signs of aggression - merely preparation.
