Problem pasting old mp netcode into standalone

Title,,, when I paste in the old mp netcode into the standalone client, it simply deletes the netcode I am replacing and inserts nothing.

You mean modificating PB2 or playing on old multiplayer?

No, I mean activating old netcode on the standalone client.
