How does delay work?

So timers are things that are not made very clear in what units of time it uses so basically i want to make a 60 second timer but its either too long or short i also want to know what units of time they use

They use frames per second (fps).
Basically, 30 fps means 1 second.

So if you would like 60 seconds. Just multiply 30 by 60 then that's the value you'll input.
