How to create a melee weapon with custom model?

A question to the most experienced map makers of this community.

"How to create a melee weapon with custom model?"

I want this melee weapon to be created without:

1) Changing global settings like "bullet max life" because it changes it for all weapons on the map.
2) Attaching a decoration to defibrillator because it will heal teammates and thus make things unrealistic. Plus defibrillator is a visible gun. It would look stupid.
3) Switching gun projectile type to grenades and replacing projectile model to invisible bullet (#15 in projectile model indices)

To simplify - I want it to be very realistic, practical and have no issues in game. It should be working in MP also.

If you can somehow manage to add a swing effect to it, it would be even better.

You could make a trigger that changes bullet lifetime to 1 or 0 when thegun is fired, but changes almost instantaneously back. I am not sure if this works though.

I created map with some hold able decorations.
Find last DECORATION category trigger parameter.
Make invisible gun.
Make spawn gun 0 projectives per shot
Assign - slience - sound for gun shoot sound,and enjoy!
You can find this decorations on some maps.It wasnt hard for me.

On the screen of other player it will not look the same way how you see it on your screen. It would still look like you're shooting regular bullets on his screen. Besides there are other bugs that appear while using such technology.

I just realized that this is a waste of time. Because there simply should be an invisible gun that does melee damage. Why do we need to dig in triggers when everything should be much simpler?
