difficulty

So, I'm creating a map where at the beginning the global difficulty is set to hard. Then, I want the difficulty to be set as the player choose before has started the custom map (Easy or Normal example).
According to a 2020 screenshot that I took from a someone's reply this can be make it by doing the next:

Creating a var with name "difficulty" > activate save AI dif var > change global AI (Hard xamp) > and to return the dif that was chosen before running the map; change global AI dif (Parameter B: Var name (difficulty).

In the end I did it but it didn't work, if the variable has nothing to do with what I need then my bad.
