Both my parents speak English so English is my main language. Since I live in Canada, we have to learn French as well, so I know how to communicate in English and French. A little known fact is that I know how to speak Cantonese (one of the main Chinese languages) as well. I learned it from online classes and after-school classes back in elementary grade. I could never memorize all the Chinese characters and I've soon forgotten how to write Traditional Chinese as I never have to write it ever. I can still speak Cantonese fluently as I have friends who are of Chinese descent.
So in conclusion, I can communicate in English and French but can only communicate Cantonese by speaking and not writing.

Learned french on school but my grades were pretty bad, I understand it better than I can actually talk it
