Returning player experiencing fps issues

Postby xxjongjongxx » 19 September 2022, 23:07

I used to play this game years and years ago, back when flash was still a thing and we had the old crazy hit detection mechanics. I decided to hop on today on a whim only to realize that the game felt very sluggish on my high end pc. Even on 60 fps the game feels no where near as smooth as it once did. I've tried every combination of settings in the menu I could think of... Any solutions?

Before you ask; yes my connection is solid at 30 mbps and ~60 ping

No one gave me it. The pc isn’t even the issue, it runs most demanding games at max settings, 1440p.

Plazma Burst 2 uses just 1 CPU core to run and it does not use any GPU acceleration.

Higher screen resolution might also affect performance negatively, as well as CPU that has higher total core performance compared to older CPU, but each single core might be not as fast (I can be wrong here though).

Another factor could be more secure operating system patches that could also slow-down CPU in tasks where it is on the edge of maximum performance. I haven't tested, but I think game could run better on Windows XP (though it is outdated and likely has critical vulnerabilities) compared to Windows 10.
