This topic's interesting.
I personally don't mind criticism about my work as long as its constructive and respectful.

Constructive criticism is the process of offering valid and well-reasoned opinions about the work of others, usually involving both positive and negative comments, in a friendly manner rather than an oppositional one.

Doom, Tempus, and Kiriakos

Aero (try Aero) got banned a few days ago for excessive swearing, and his ban was extended twice for literally no reason, when he contacted Doom, Doom said that he found it annoying that Aero brought up the fact that he got banned and told him to make a ban appeal and asked him about CakeSpider streaming porn? I don't think Aero has any idea on that situation. When he contacted Tempus he almost completely ignored him and ignored the point, and then stopped responding. When he contacted Kiriakos, Kiri just said that Aero's ban was extended because he swore on top of his already made ban?

You should submit a support ticket here if you want to submit a ban appeal: https://www.plazmaburst2.com/support/
I don't really do stuff on site much anymore, so better to do that or contact someone else.

Hi

AeroToday at 4:02 PM
i was banned on oct 30th, and the ban was supposed to be lifted yesterday, since then it's been extended after each "unban"

this was earlier today

this is now
[img]

Kiriakos 96dToday at 4:05 PM
you got banned for using bad words because you keep saying bad words the ban time is increased your ban end in about 24 hours
AeroToday at 4:17 PM
why does each bad word serve mulitple sentences
should be one sentence
i've served two and half sentences even though i should have been banned for only
one
it's obviously something wrong with the ban code/trigger
why i am i being punished for faulty code
can u just unban me, i've learned my lesson
the rest of these bans are wrongly placed

Aero definitely made a mistake doing this, but that doesn't mean that he should get his ban extended twice (for no reason)
Oh yeah it's also the buggy autoban system
Thankfully Aero is unbanned now, but not thanks to the admins l0l

I explaied to try Aero why the ban times where changed(He said for example 10 ban words the system banned for 5 days then he said later more bad words then the system banned him again for 7 days)(In his banned screen he saw the first ban when his first ban expired he saw the second ban in his screen).

That is for everone If you have a ban and you want to appeal you will have to submit a ticket in the support center dont PM/DM on Discord or Site/Forum.

darkstar might be my second favorite

doom is ok i seen him spam meme videos in the general chat days ago

tempus is kinda ignorant when it comes to ban appeal or some stuff

eric is obviously the best, i hav nothing to say about him

I'm just poking my head in to complain about the wiki since I think it's valid here and the Miraheze wiki is staff-sanctioned from my knowledge

Whichever staff is responsible for maintaining the wiki needs to actually do something about it. Right now it genuinely feels neglected. There are barely any users helping out because someone thought it'd be a good idea to go against the entire point of a wiki and limit editing rights severely, making activity come to a crawl and thereby limiting the community's open accessibility to provide and maintain factual accuracy on the wiki. There are still plenty of pages that still haven't been made because 1.) no one is making them and 2.) nearly no one has page creation rights. How is it that I have over 80 contributions to the official wiki yet despite this I still can't even do anything like make pages or upload any files besides edit existing pages? We're at a point now where the Fandom wiki is more complete and up to date than the Miraheze one, and now there's more consistent activity there than on Miraheze. If you want people to use your platform then at least give some attention to it, otherwise there's no point in having a separate wiki if it's just going to be left to gather dust

And before I get the "we don't have much free time" reason I've heard plenty of times before, I'm well aware it's like this to stop vandalism and whatnot beforehand. But that's not efficiency I'd argue, that's simply cutting corners, and it's apparent that too much of too many corners were cut to a point where it's done more harm than good

I Find it to be very arrogant to the staff to ignore clans. Without clans, less members will be on pb2, i think we should make a forum for clan advertising. You cannot ignore something thats become to big.

Ah yes, the clans issue. The former staff has their own reasons for not advertising or removing all support for clans as stated in Doomwrath's post before. But I personally vouch for somewhat a support for clans to at least get known in the community as I also started doing clans and became active on them.

Resi wrote:They also need to improve the visibility for the miraheze wiki to make it more popular than the fandom one. Personally I don't care which one is used because I have adblock lol

I don't personally get involved in wiki stuff but what do you mean "improve the visibility"?. What current things do you see that doesn't fit or needs to be changed/improve. What do you personally recommend?

Miraheze doesn't have any ads. It's one of their main selling points and the reason the official wiki is hosted there. Fandom's never going to be officially supported for this reason. Though making Miraheze more visible might be hard since the Fandom wiki also shows up on search results and Fandom's not going anywhere at all (because taking the Fandom wiki down isn't an option).

mrblake213 wrote:I don't personally get involved in wiki stuff but what do you mean "improve the visibility"?. What current things do you see that doesn't fit or needs to be changed/improve. What do you personally recommend?

For visibility, it wouldn't hurt to bring more attention to it. Maybe advertise it by asking people to help out there or direct people there. Fandom only got popular because it's not only years old but it was also the only go-to place for in-game information. The wiki also needs to be more accessible. A wiki by default is supposed to be open and accessible to the general public. It's meant to be a large scale collaboration effort. Having something like a verification process on Discord as a premature filter just to be able to do basic things entirely defeats the point of having a wiki. No one should have to sit through a process on Discord just for that.

There's a big problem when there's only two main active editors, one of which lacks most basic editing rights, out of more than a hundred registered users who have done nothing, likely for the same reason or out of lack of interest.

Greetings,

The note about the ban in my understanding the ban should have been lifted. The server doesn't just auto re-ban unless they broke more rules. Additionally, when I was contacted I was on mobile -- at my real life work. There wasn't much I could do. I was planning to see if they had their issue resolved today when I have more time.

In actual feedback, Thank you Hik, I appreciate your feedback and I will make a couple of announcements in regards of the forum, wiki, discord and twitter so everyone knows we have these applications for everyone.

To my knowledge, I thought I removed the restrictions where registered wiki users could not make new pages. I believe the restriction only applies to guests, forcing everyone to have a wiki account to edit / make pages. If this is not working or if you mean allow guests to edit / make pages, please let me know and I will fix that as soon as possible. I will double check, but it helps if someone could tell me it is or not working.

Anyways, Staff Criticism has always been iffy, due to people not liking staff for banning them etc. But some feedback is helpful. As I said before;

Yeah, I'm registered on the wiki and I can't make pages, not even my own user talk page or sandbox page. I want to use my own sandbox page for testing out various things but I don't have permission to make it. http://prntscr.com/pseqfd

There's also some pages that need to be made that I could've made a long time ago but couldn't. Guests don't need any editing permissions though, that can be for registered users only imo

Yes I know, Aero's ban was totally justified and he deserved it, but what he didn't deserve was get ignored by one admin, another admin missing the point, and the third one giving vague details, it's also the buggy and confusing ban system that banned him giving out wrong dates, but at least he's unbanned now and there's no need to talk about this any further other than fixing the autoban system

Yeah I'd just like to add that Tempus and I were under the assumption anyone with an account could edit, sorry that that wasn't the case. I do agree - there are a bunch of pages that need updating or to be created. I'll personally be doing some updating to pages at some point (soon I hope), as some pages like faction pages are out of date at this point. Covering some of the game changes is also something that needs to be done iirc.
who needs a PB2.5 release date, anyways?

ditzy, golden and darkstar are good staffs, they help without gettin you say somethin to get ban and they're fast at helping!
I don't have anythin' to say 'bout the admin team. They are good as well.

mrblake shouldn't make people(?) say a bad thing to get 'em banned and shouldn't look at names. For example lets see how needs ''help''? (idk) oh it's ''ECC9'' ok nevermind let me get back to my work.
tehswordnina should be simply kicked out because he gets angry for nothing (liek changing my pfp to something like his pfp) and abuses his mod powers.
in my opinion this what needs to be changed. (i didnt said everything, it might get be banned from this forum 1101%)
