but i'll probably say mrnat and darkstar
since they are the ones who try to understand the trigger actions more.
they divulge into complex map making techniques with variables and i haven't seen that with other map makers especially to those in the top 10's

Great guy, he is an awesome map maker. Although he had reset his account and switch to an alternative, now he is making a fresh start using his map developing skills. I still recommend people check his out.

Singleplayer mapmakers without a doubt

The focus and craze are both always about MP maps because of MP being this game's main lifeline and selling point yet there's great SP maps with wonderful narration and elements that make themselves stand out better than your everyday arena or sniper map which are ignored. The SP WoE doesn't do enough justice to get these mapmakers the recognition they really deserve imo

krutz is definitely more aware of game/map balance as well as simple yet effective layouts/aesthetic than i'd say 99% of the community, and his maps reflect it

D4RK- is a pretty high quality map maker, unfortunately he hasn't made any maps recently, and he's not very active.

RawrNutHug. Humanoid is INSANE on DM. It's never very unfair, but you just can't let up, no place has a real advantage. I find myself spending the same amount of time not on the top as on the top, which is pretty rare - usually I gravitate to the top. The size is perfect - good players aren't overwhelmed, but they're always on their toes. The teleports are a bit cheesy sometimes though.

The problem is everyone just plays multiplayer, always the same maps.
Noone really cares for new maps. Mapmakers are awesome since making maps is toilsome.

Im one. I make good maps and I don't get that much attention.

1) zZNinjaZz - Best decor and special effects. Unfortunately for all of us he only makes SP maps and is being pretty inactive.
2) Ash Crow - Natural looking environment. I think he has a huge potential to become one of the best map makers in this community. He temporarily unpublished his maps, but they should be available soon.
3) X Mechanic - Very atmospheric maps. Left the game unfortunately...
4) xXSUPERIORXxpl - Just great designer.
