Hello, everyone! Topic - Hate

Postby Fixer21 » 24 November 2016, 11:44

I think, by title, you already understand what I am trying to say here, it's not like my and only personal view but here is the thing... and very important thing to say which took me about a lot of time to think about it.

A lot of you have noticed that there aren't any new (good) maps. As a decent map maker, I should say, we should respect (if not rate those maps) but respect them. Personally, as some of you noticed, I get hate, but that's not all. By hate I mean those things which comes from unknown person's mouth or mind behind his nick... sitting behind his PC all day and draining hapiness from other good people who still (at least try to play this game as me). I just can't, yo... I can't understand why you want map makers like us to ''vanish''. Of course - ''It's just a prank, chill bro'', but it hurts not only me I think but other map makers as well and not only game is dying and you let others think like that, but you force new hope disappear.

I am not reffering this to all, but I think some will know why I am making this. If this is what those ''players'' want, then consider, you have reached your life goal.

It really comes from all my heart and I think together (what is left from us) must, at least, think about it. Thank you.

so much egotism in just these two sentences

have you ever thought people don't like you because your bahaviour makes them not liking you? you've created the whole topic just because someone rated your map 1* and called you a douche? correct? it clearly doesn't mean that every other map creator gets this much of hate. i don't know any other developers who create tirade topics like this one

your whole topic can be translated into "hello i'm fixer, the best map maker of pb2. i get too much hate on me and my maps. since i take every hate comment close to my heart i'd like to ask all of you to change and stop doing what you're doing. thank u"

our community is toxic. we like to mess with each other, make inappropriate jokes, create drama topics and such. you won't really change anything in it by creating this topic. it's impossible. just get used to it

Alright, bro. I didn't want to say it and even wanted to avoid it that I am the best developer. Mayeb I am, but you won't agree with it anyway.

What I wanted to say is that, eh, they can rate what they want but they want ''mental challange'' with me.
I have blocked those guys, ya know, including you, so I think you are liek this because of it. A little of topic but you are kinda bad, yeh, very soft word but, forums.

By mentally challanged I mean, I meet like x999 guests (it's alright, super annoying, but, alright), what I don't get is why people call me a lot of every possible way in bad ways and even if I block them, like I did with you terror only, they strike me back again. Not like with PM's cause I blocked most of them now but in map comments, I have received like A LOT bad and underfacted reviews (they probably use that chance to bring me down somehow), not only that guy who is doing it now only and I can't stay with mouth shut, ya know, it just won't end. I mean call me bad in every possible way yo if that helps you, but does that really help?

Maybe I am pathetic, but true must be spoken loud so everybody realises it.

+++

''Get used to it'' - I will get used to it when I want. (I want true answers and ideas for this by the way).

Just avoid them, or do like me, pretend you agree with them, and they will shut their mouth.

Problem, is not that. They keep posting bad stuff on my map comments or (If I haven't block them) in my PB box.

Well, so far only darkstar1 understands... kinda and obviously it's not just me. I am thinking of a new feature like *block instant* which will still allow them to do those stuff like rating, yeh, but not commenting on my maps example, basically if you block player they can't comment on your maps - Cool, right? (Yeh, only real map makers will uderstand this).

Alright, keep hating and saying rumours about me, but remeber that this topic is about those who don't want get
involved like me and make this unfacted scale of hate disappear at least there where this game stands for.

Spoiler: Show More

This should work as well:
Spoiler: Show More

Take this is an advice as for how to develop a decent level of ignorance.
It can be quite helpfull here. c:

Well, I'll first quote a few things.

Fixer21 wrote:A lot of you have noticed that there aren't any new (good) maps. As a decent map maker, I should say, we should respect (if not rate those maps) but respect them.

Not even humble, interesting. First of all, will it be good or bad, a map's quality will always be a matter of opinion, so I don't think you should be one to judge this way. Same applies to your second sentence, maybe you consider yourself good, but maybe you are terrible (and this is without hate, it's a lesson of reality).

Terror Only wrote:Our community is toxic. [...] Just get used to it.

This pretty much simplifies the entire topic, but since common sense may be something lacking most of the time, we can go deeper. I think we all know what an opinion is so it doesn't really need to be explained so I'll just jump straight to the point.

It is their vote and their opinions, so you can simply ignore them, while being humble (because self entitling yourself as any level tends not to be humble at all, which doesn't help the case when it comes to creating a peaceful atmosphere, specially in a toxic community) or you can keep that level of self-entitlement, which will only create more haters, and that's something you seem not to want.
The essence of a developer does not come from people's good or bad opinions, because honestly most of the time the feedback is terrible, but from their own inspiration, self-criticism and self-improvement.

As I see Alice is an expert in these situations, I shall listen to them and others shall too. Thanks. :D

Thanks for your understanding too, we have hope.

I will do a favour and lock this topic.
