Skrubcast AKA Venomous's update threads about his maps.
As you all know im working on a tournament map, for clan wars and such. A match rotates through 4 individual arenas, designed like normal PB2 battle maps, each with a different game mode.
That's the thing - Im good with doing exotic stuff like how it all works and the game modes and such, but I don't know how to make a normal map, for the individual arenas.
So, for this Skrubcast I'm going to designing each arena here, and getting criticism from the mapmakers who are experienced in such things. Remember that each one also has a different game mode and thus objective, and should be designed around that, so keep it in mind.
CURRENT ARENA: STAGE I - TEAM DEATHMATCH
Objective here is simply to kill 30 enemies.
In terms of pathing here, I have the BARE BONES of the surface of arena, but nothing interesting like cover, and of course there's still 50% of underground area to be filled (and some of the sky if need be). What should I be adding, for both improving the path design and the underground area?
