Zoom settings during map editing pt. 2

Postby 2950985 » 14 August 2016, 01:00

This post is a follow up from my previous post from the Questions section.
My issue in the map that I'm currently working on is when someone enters into a region that makes their game 40% zoomed out, it affects the other players. My suggestion is there's another feature when someone enters a region that makes their game zoomed in or out in their POV, the other players game is still at 100% zoomed (normal view) in their POV. Is that able to work out?
Thanks for reading.

This would be good
but
bad for fighting, war, approved maps.

To be honest, I don't see anything wrong with my suggestion since it's just another feature for triggers. It's going to be similar to looking through a sniper scope in first person shooters. I mean that's how I see it.

The main theme of the game is fighting/wars especially on approved maps.
but since that would make it unbalanced and unfair, it is not suggested here.
But--- It is good for roleplay maps and other kinds.

I understand what you're saying but it doesn't have to be on approved maps I mean heck, even if my idea was an actual feature, it'd never end up into approved maps but instead unapproved and custom maps.

Edit: Alright, I just reread all of your replies carefully and I apologize. I'm literally just repeating what you're saying. You're good.

I'm just waiting for someone to respond if this is possible or not.

Alright sure. My apologies.

Being able to change the zoom for different players/characters would be really helpful, +1

The more stuff that is specific (aka for one player instead of changing it for every player), the better.

Definitely a good idea. Like tehswordninja said, the more player-specific stuff there is in the LE, the better.
Ever had one of those days where everyone you meet in ranked likes you?

Yeah, me neither.

This would improve multiplayer maps a lot. Another thing that should be added alongside this feature would be individual settings for PSI swords. You could pick which players have enabled PSI swords.

I don't know how this game is coded but if you can change player mobility, HP, teams, etc, then I assume that you should be able to change the game scale for any individual player.
