Save trigger

Postby darkstar 1 » 19 April 2016, 20:31

So, a save/quicksave trigger for Single Player maps.
When you die, you can restart from the saved part.
Or when you do not have the time to finish a map, just save it and open it another time.

We've always needed a checkpoint system, +1
who needs a PB2.5 release date, anyways?

Yes, this would be great but how will PB2 store "memory" just like its campaign?

But that requires you to make another map yes?

Yes please, it gets annoying when you're too nooby to test your own maps to completion ... and of course when you're playing other people's maps and you get past a really difficult bit before dying and having to respawn at the beginning.

No. Its basically a respawn system where you can change where you respawn, So I guess The Memory Thing is still a problem.
But its pretty close yes?

Does your respawn system work in single player too?

Woah, that's pretty impressive. I might add more enemies and change some things up, if that's alright

Honestly It is hard enough with the amount of enemies already there. Their Aim is hard.

And thanks :D

It's genius, but won't work if you have other allies in your map :(

What do you mean? If You die, and the triger phyics happen, you can add it to move the allies to the region you respawned in.

I think it's best just to have a save trigger over your system, considering the massive amount of triggers in it.

Would make many maps infinitely better. I don't know the technical issues for that idea, but for now...

@pixelbyte: If you have allies, who fight at your side, and you press tab, your view will switch to them.

pixelbyte, I am assuming you also have the aiming system in your map. I can tell how good their aim is along with their weapons constantly pointing towards me.
