Let's stay on topic guys, we're supposed to be discussing save triggers and checkpoints, not aiming systems.

No offense but you might as well as lock the topic since there already is a save trigger. .-.

Uhm... I have not seen a trigger to save the map and continue playing the following day yet... So it does not exist :/

My bad a system that can save the player from restarting the entire map.

Could be a password that activates a checkpoint in a start of a map.

That's actually been done before pixel, though they are rather long maps. (near 1,00 objects in the maps)

When you die, you can restart from the saved part.
Or when you do not have the time to finish a map, just save it and open it another time.

This would be pretty helpful. My map series has 12 maps as of now, because I don't like watching cutscenes again after I die, so I made the cutscenes maps of their own. If I did this, I could make the end of a cutscene a checkpoint.

I think you necropost Starwars7

But now with the vars action list. this seriously cuts down on the size pixel byte needs on his maps.

Haha, I read the post date on the last post and misread the year...

Soooo, a trigger that can save your progress in the database? I believe that would cause a lot of stress on the database.

Till you realize the newest triggers cut down a lot of the trigger work needed.

Online saving would be the cause of this stress, not the trigger contraptions.

Seems like the url trigger action can kinda save things, so I'm gonna lock this topic.
Thanks for all the replies :)
