Test guns into advanced editor!

Everyone from old PB2 (GSA vs AGSA , remember forever <3) remeber Test guns , Glock And M4a1 , why not bring them into advanced editor , and give them proper names? Not weapon_glock or weapon_m4a1 , this would make map making better.

Yea, would be nice to have it in the new level editor... I never see the difference between m4's and glocks in the new editor, really annoying.

Diffrence isn't that bad. Worst is that you cant open advanced maps in basic editor.

Before you build a map, why not edit it in OLE and place a few glocks or m4s then start on ALE?

They were 'test' guns. Eric probably wanted to see how realistic guns would work on pb2. If he wanted them in, he would've included them on the ALE and made them official but he chose not to. Plus this is the future bro, we have weapons such as bng, plasma cannon and such, if you add modern-type weapons, it kinda ruins the whole concept.

Not really, I mean PB2 as a whole. The whole concept of the gaming being futuristic. Plus, roleplay was just something that people did over the years, the main point of the game is to kill kill kill

'Test' guns clearly imply something. They're not in the ALE because they're simply not official weapons for the game. If Eric really wanted them in the game, they wouldn't be in the same state they're in right now - he'd need to balance them to make the Glock and M4A1 fit in well as a contender for the other weapons without being too advantageous over them.

You can still add these guns into your maps by adding them in the OLE before editing the rest of your map.

They were added, along with the sniper rifle, for test purposes in 2013 I think, although the M4A1 and Glock were removed the sniper remained.

I don't really want to see the M4A1 or Glock back, they were horribly overpowered and didn't really fit PB2 in my opinion.

Not sure why nobody mentioned the strange issue with their ammo yet. Anyone noticed that they have different # of bullets when you fire semi-automatically (click-click-click...) instead of holding down the left mouse button? I also remember that sometimes they only fire 1 bullet per clip.

Maybe Eric just couldn't fix this, and decided to not make them "official"?

They're still there and are pretty operational. Maybe you wanted to say something like "they do not exist in ALE's weapon list"?
