Ideas I'd like to suggest.

Postby maxim12 » 27 June 2016, 17:05

So in this thread I'd like to suggest a few ideas: Gun attachments, Aiming downsights (Iron sights), New grenade types I'd like to see and Character specialisations.

So first lets discuss the Aiming downsights (Iron sights).
Basicaly Aiming downsights makes your gun more accurate, but slows down your movement speed. You cant aim downsights when you're jumping/flying. To aim Downsights, just hold right mouse.

Now lets talk about Gun Attachments.
Gun attachments are modules that you attach to your gun, improving characteristis, wich also have their cons. Note: Gun attachments are avaiable on the game only if the map/game rules enabled guns having magazines and gun reloading.

Laser sight
Improves hipfire accuracy (When you shoot without holding right mouse.).

Reflex sight
Improves your accuracy when aiming though ironsights (Holding rightmouse). But nerfs Hipfire accuracy.

Extended magazine
Increases the magazine ammo capacity, but reduces movement speed and longer reloading.

Vertical grip
Improves weapon handling. But nerfs accuracy whem aiming downsights.

Surppresor
Mutes your gunfire sounds. Makes them less noicy. Also makes your gun bullet projectiles less visible.

Flashlight
Can be used to blind your enemys. Also used to lighten up dark arenas.

Now new grenade types.
I'd like to see new grenade types.

I'd like to see a Smoke grenade. Smoke grenades when they explode they form up az big smoke cloud, players can use the smoke cloud to hide there, smoke clouds makes players hard to detect, by hiding It's nickname and health bar. Smoke grenades does not damage players.

And Flashbang grenade. When the grenade blows up, and there is an enemy player near it, It blinds the enemy player and debuff's the enemy player's weapon handling.

Character Specialisations.
Character Specialisations gives your bonuses to certain stats, each specialistations has It's own stats. To choose Character specialisation you go to edit profile and choose character specialisation. Character Specialisations should be automaticaly disabled from the Match/Game if the Match/Game does not offer weapon Reloading.

Defence Specialisation.
Less prone to fall damage, that means you receive less damage if you fall from high places or hit walls hard. Less damage from melee attack. I.e Swords. Higher Health Regeneration. Less chance of losing a limb and special protection from headshots.

Offence Specialisation.
Able to carry more ammo. Higher Magazine ammo capacity. better movement speed. Also able to carry more grenades.

Weaponary Specialisation.
Improves your weapon handling. Faster Reloading. Faster weapon switching.

Stealth Specialisation.
When Crouching (Holding S) or hiding behind wall, the enemy cant see your Nickname and health bar. Also this specialisation provides you higher movement speed.

All this exotic stuff is unnecessary. Aiming down sights? Laser sight? Iron sights? Its a 2d game..Its useless. Weapon attachments? This isn't cod. This game is suppose to be based off balance. If we have people running around with weird different attachments and specialists, the game wouldn't be so balanced anymore. The more balanced it is, the more skill involved. Lets just have everybody shoot at the same fire rate. Supressors is not needed in a 2d game either.

On the contrary, the more diverse the game becomes the more unique it is. On that note, just because if it had "attachments" does not make the game cod. Cod wasn't the first game to allow "attachments".

Why have a simple game? When you can push for something different, more complex/unique?

"All this exotic stuff is unnecessary." But it would be damn cool to see in-game.

The grenades and the attachments are the only things I agree with. I don't see a need for specializations when ranked gameplay is about fair gameplay, where everyone has the same amount of health, speed, etc.

I think the grenades should be non-faction specific, and if AI could use them that would be interesting.

I saw similar ideas few times. Maybe we will have some attachments on some weapons, not just lvl upgrades.
About specializations. In MP maps it will be decided by the map creator, as we'll have more tools. But also, I guess that each main character in the new campaign will have an own specialization.
About grenades. I for it. Its possible to make up with more new types. You can find my topic named "Lamp grenade". And soon I'll write about one new interesting type.

Gun attachments sound completely useless. For the "Blind" affect, it shouldn't just brighten your screen, nor make you unable to see anything. Something that would be cool is different psi-swords, here are some ideas:
Reflection: Can reflect anything, but cannot deal damage.
Concentrated: High damage, but has short range.
Diluted Long: Less damage, but has long range.
Combat-only: Faster rate and higher damage, but cannot reflect.

Also, there should be jetpacks that boost you the direction your torso points.
