Yea, I was surprised how quickly it got attention. Thanks for joining us- I hope to see you next Friday.

I was planning to show up and talk with you guys. But unfortunately, I had a few things come up that needed my attention.
Out of curiosity;
How many people showed up?
Did you guys record it?
I also want to add this

Thanks, and, no problem.
We had planned for about 8 or 9 people, but a few didn't make it. For most of the games we had 6 people, plus a few who joined us in our public matches. Next time, I anticipate we'll have a few more players.
Unfortunately we'd not thought to record, but that might not be a bad idea for the next times.
As for the twitter, thanks for the retweet. That helped get a bit of attention.
I should have made a post on the Pb2 forums- I'll do so for the next event. Before re-reading the rules, I had thought that section was for more official events, and wasn't sure if this would be permitted.

This didn't get that much attention.
I see that GSA posted it on their website on January 4th, two days before the event.
and Tempus posted it on the day the event was going to take place.
My suggestion is to make the announcement more public and post an announcement a week before the event.
As is planned. We plan to do this every Friday for the following months, hosted by GSA.
Also, if anyone is curious, here are the final results of the event:
