Disabling Usage of Weapons

Postby mrblake213 » 4 January 2016, 03:12

I think this kind of trigger system isn't popular and you might have seen it in some maps.
This "bug" is from XnX (via xnx-simple)

I am pleased to share it with the community.

If you have played xnx-simple before, you might have noticed that the swords slice very fast. It is because this trigger system has something to do with swords.
You need 2 triggers and 2 timers.

Because copying is easier than explaining....
Just see mrblake213-test
You will see it at the end of the map (far right)

I thankfully understand what you're describing although it is quite vague and odd how you practically just linked us somewhere else. Additionally, the person above me made a good point: "It is quite hard to explain for me" should never be in a tutorial. It lets readers know that you're confusing yourself in your own words, therefore they begin to lose trust in the legitimacy of your tutorial.

They might think to themselves "can I even follow this tutorial if he doesn't know what he's talking about?" You have to really sell yourself and make it seem like you KNOW what you're saying even if you don't.

All in all, I liked it.

Thumbs up to you my friend, and don't forget, there's always space for improvement.

:D

It looks kinda like mine but a shorter way of explaining or making it. 8)

I am very sorry for my mistake.
What I mean was it is harder for me to write a whole wall of text, it was easier for a user to just redirect them to a open sourced map editor so that they could actually see and easily copy the result.
