Alien acid grenades projectile do not function properly w...

oh unfortunately i reached a letter cap for the subject anyways when i was changing a gun's projectile model to 52 the projectiles didn't act like acid grenades at all. i tried converting them to grenades but they ended up EXPLODING either instantly upon hitting a enemy or shortly after touching a wall.
you know i began to realize why youtubers beg for likes and shit its cause people forget to rate otherwise like come on how many people can have under 100 kills!

The alien acid grenades are still a new feature to the game. I can't really help you here but I hope Eric responds to this.

Most weapons with special features have those special features because of their projectile models. For example if you change the model of a CS-BNG it's shots won't deal damage to nearby enemies anymore. An even better example are the homing rockets. when you set a gun's projectile model to homing rockets they will home in regardless of the weapon (unless if it fires grenades then idk). Same goes for the acid grenades, the only way the gun will work properly is if using the specific model.
How many bugs does this game have anyway? jeez

My bad for not reading what he wrote properly.

On topic I ran a few tests and realised that the projectiles with "special abilities" as I mentioned above will only work properly if the weapon fires the right type of projectile.

For example homing rockets won't be homing if the gun does not fire rockets in the first place.


However I also noticed that if the projectiles fired are already grenades and their model is changed to 52 ( acid grenade model) they will stuck at walls and deal damage to nearby entities, but they will also explode after a while and explode immediately upon impact with an enemy. So yeah that might need fixing.
How many bugs does this game have anyway? jeez

also, i think i know a solution, first use the 'change gun A projectiles to grenades' and then change the projectile model

I don't think they are the same grenades. Spawning grenades would be the ones that come out of a Grenade Launcher while the Alien Acid Launcher shoots ACID grenades.

the same principle applies to making a pistol C-O1P shoot homing rockets, first you use 'change gun A projectiles to rockets' and then 'change gun A projectile model to B' picking the homing rocket model.
