da list:
Official factions:
1: Usurpers, cause idk just biased
2: Civil Security - neat aesthetic with a solid fleshed out weapon/vehicle/unit sandbox
3: Falkoks - interesting alien faction, I like the recent mention of their homeworld not being where they currently are by Eric, makes you wonder why they came to Mars
4: Correction Nine - really overhyped and we don't even see anything of the faction outside of Noir and the Marine. I think their aesthetic is still pretty interesting tho
5: Androids - residentsleeper
Community factions:
1: Scavengers: Definitely not biased towards this faction because I definitely totally didn't come up with 90% of the concepts behind it
either way I'm just a big fan of seeing existing designs like the hound walker be repurposed and overall the 'gritty' nature of it all
2: Federation: basically Civil Security but flipped on its head, I like a lot of the recent art direction with the faction and the overall heavy duty "somewhat primitive, yet extremely durable" philosophy of the faction. it provides a great counter to the CS in terms of military power and size and its lore allows for it to coexist very well with eric's lore while fleshing out humanity's presence outside of earth
3: Crossfire: i think this faction has this slot purely out of aesthetics
4: Nexxon: somewhat clustered faction art-wise currently but I think it still has a lot of interesting concepts.
5: Insurgents: really recent faction incase you are reading this and not understanding what i mean by "Insurgents". anyway neat mini faction thats apart of a certain project in the works. they use really high caliber guns and deliciously exquisite pizza sauce tons of stimulants, resulting in a really cool look
6: PHANX/EOS: what is in-game currently doesn't do this faction justice imo and i think its got some really interesting lore and new guns/characters coming somewhat soon, but we'll have to see
7: OEDA: easily my least favorite faction even with the project's (ok i will admit pretty much entirely mine) revised lore on the faction. i definitely did not like the current lore for OEDA (AKA UN but fights CS?? also makes guns?) - it just doesn't make sense and doesn't line up with what eric has given us for lore. with the new lore revising it to a simple arms manufacturer that markets itself on the idea of "the good old days", it's a lot more tolerable but admittedly more simplistic. i don't think thats a bad thing though, not every weapon manufacturer in this game needs to have skins and shit with it.
who needs a PB2.5 release date, anyways?
